The Model 1860 Revolver evolved from its 1851 relative to become the most commonly issed sidearm in the Union. Its popularity carried over to the Confederate troops, who procured them by whatever means necessary. The .44 caliber round was an attractive alternative to the .36 caliber predecessor. This piece has a 7.5" octagonal case hardened barrel, cylinder, and loading rod, brass tiggerguard and backstrap, and walnut grip.
